The Mechanical discipline is provided with System sizing utilities, each for both HVAC and Plumbing. The Sizing utility maps system and performs sizing algorithms, resizes and rebuilds system, edits system to coordinate layout and repeats analysis to produce completed system. They size system using the equal friction method, and utilizes ASHRAE/CIBSE fitting databases. Besides ASHRAE and CIBSE ciuntry standards, the Pipe sizing is also additionally base on AIRAH. During sizing the utilities create part, fan sizing and pressure drop outputs, in case of duct routes and in pipe system, the hydraulic pressure drop is managed with piping fittings and fixture parameters.
